Learn the craft,
love the light.
Sunlit Pane teaches stained glass through buildable pattern kits: mockups, templates, and gentle build guides you can follow from your very first cut. This isn't above you.

The first patterns are on their way
Every pattern is checked against our own fabrication rules before it's sold, so what you buy is genuinely buildable, not just pretty on screen. The first kits are in final production now.
We're finishing the first kits by hand right now. Want a note the moment the shop opens?

What's inside every pattern kit
Each Sunlit Pane pattern is a complete, teacher-in-your-pocket kit. Print it, pin it up, and cut with confidence.
- 1Colour mockup
See the finished piece in colour before you cut a thing.
- 2Numbered template
Every piece numbered and labelled so you never lose your place.
- 3Glass legend
A guide to the colours and textures we chose: swap freely.
- 4Cut list
Group your cuts by colour to work efficiently through the sheet.
- 5Beginner build guide
Step-by-step foiling, soldering, and finishing notes.
Plan the project before you cut
The difficulty scorer tells you if a pattern is a fair first project, the cutting calculator works out how many sheets of each colour to buy, and the cost estimator prices the whole build in USD or CAD. There's even Image Buddy, a little resizer that gets your reference photos down to a printable size without leaving the site.
